Manchester United: Lost 2-1 at Bournemouth

Manchester United’s senior players Daley Blind and Juan Mata let the side down badly, according to various player ratings following their defeat at Bournemouth.

Goals from Junior Stanislas and Josh King – either side of Marouane Fellaini’s equaliser – saw Louis van Gaal’s men slip to a 2-1 defeat at Dean Court on Saturday evening.

And while a series of injury problems meant United were forced to field the most inexperienced line-up in their Premier League history, it was United’s senior stars who were among the most criticised in the media.

Blind, with an average rating of 4.625 and Mata (5) were among the key men who let United down, with only goalscorer Fellaini (6.875) emerging with any credit.

It was a different story for Bournemouth, however, with Junior Stanislas (7.75), Josh King (7.375) and Harry Arter (7.625) all impressing for triumphant hosts.
