Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is reported to have joined Paris Saint-Germain’s Laurent Blanc on Manchester United’s list of potential replacements for Louis van Gaal.
United have slipped out of the top four of the Premier League and also been knocked out of the Champions League, with Van Gaal in danger of being sacked in the summer.
Pochettino, meanwhile, has led Tottenham to fourth at United’s expense, with the north Londoners even being talked up as possible title contenders having lost only twice all season.
It has ‘only added to his reputation inside Old Trafford, according to the Sunday Mirror, with the club’s hierarchy having already been impressed by his ‘calmness, dignity and coaching ability’ when in charge of Southampton.
Blanc, meanwhile, is in talks over a new PSG deal but apparently sees the opportunity of managing his former club as ‘appealing’.
