Pochettino to transfer list Spurs star after selection frustrations

Tottenham will reportedly transfer list one of their frustrated forwards ahead of the summer window.

According to the London Evening Standard, Spurs will transfer list striker Fernando Llorente, with the Spaniard unhappy about his current situation at the club.

A serious injury to Harry Kane during Tottenham’s 4-1 win at Bournemouth appeared to present Llorente with a chance to crack the starting XI, however it is reported that Erik Lamela is more likely to take Kane’s spot.

The former Juventus man arrived from Swansea last August and was supposed to provide Mauricio Pochettino with a rotation option up front.

However, prior to his FA Cup hat-trick at Rochdale, he had scored just two goals in 26 appearances in a tough start to life in North London.

Earlier in the month, his agent Jesus Llorente has admitted that Fernando would only consider playing again for Juventus.

He told Tuttomercatoweb: “You never know. In the past there have been several market rumors, but one thing is certain: in Italy Llorente would only come back for Juventus.

“Fernando has a lot of desire to help Tottenham to pass this round, even if he has great respect for Juventus and its fans.”
