Mino Raiola, the agent of Paul Pogba has blasted Gary Lineker for his claims that the midfielder is ‘overrated’.
Lineker described Pogba as the ‘world’s most overrated player’ amid talks of a summer transfer for the Juventus man that could become a world record transfer fee.
“If one’s paid to talk about football, it doesn’t necessarily mean he knows about football. How does he know Pogba’s value?
“If I look at how much player’s are paid, like Batshuayi to Chelsea for €40million, then I think Pogba is undervalued”, Raiola told Rai via Calciomercato.com.
“Pogba’s worth the maximum that a club can pay for him.”
Juventus have already informed Raiola that Pogba is not for sale at any price, but that has not stopped clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester United sniffing around for the player.
The Red Devils were put on alert when earlier in the month the Frenchman opened up again about his Old Trafford exit.
“He’s a coach I respect a lot. But he’s a human. I’m someone who says what he thinks,” Pogba said to ESPN. “Whether it’s Ferguson or (Barack) Obama, I’ll tell him.
“Ferguson came to my place. We talked. It did make me think. He wanted to keep me, but I’d made my decision to leave.”
