Pompey welcome one of their former players to Fratton Park on October 20 when Teddy Sheringham brings his Stevenage side to the south coast.

Cook’s men travel to fellow promotion hopefuls Leyton Orient on Boxing Day, while their final game on the road is a long journey to Hartlepool on April 30.

Their campaign draws to a close a week later with the visit of Northampton on May 7.
