Man United midfielder Nick Powell is poised to return to first-team training at Carrington next week after recovering from knee surgery.
The 21-year-old has not played in a competitive game since last December when playing for on-loan club Leicester City against Manchester City and, after suffering a fresh setback with a hamstring injury in February, the reported £3million signing from Crewe is ready to work his way back into contention.

Powell has not featured for the Red Devils since their disastrous 4-0 defeat at the hands of then League One outfit MK Dons in the Capital One Cup last August, with his last Premier League appearance coming nearly three years ago against Queens’ Park Rangers.
However, he has been included in both Manchester United’s Premier League and Champions League squads, suggesting that the door is not completely shut on the midfielder at Old Trafford.
