Everton claimed a maximum seven-point haul in this week’s Power Rankings following their impressive win over Man City, while Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool and Hull were all on the move.

In Power Rankings, we award points from 0.5 to 7, decided by an algorithm based on bookmaker odds and winning margins.

It rewards teams scoring lots of goals and also those defying expectations but sees odds-on favourites penalised for sneaking past inferior opponents by the odd goal.

West Ham, who are 14th this time around, claimed the title by 3.5 points in our inaugural Power Rankings last season.
