Power Rankings: Liverpool vulnerable; Foxes off the bottom
Leicester put in a performance worthy of their champions tag to defeat Liverpool, while Jurgen Klopp’s flops risk being overtaken by Everton in our Power Rankings.
West Brom churned out another home win to reach the 40-point mark and overtake Arsenal and move into sixth place.
Everton closed the gap on Liverpool to just a point after sinking Sunderland, while Tottenham closed the gap on leaders Chelsea to just three points.
In Power Rankings, we award points from 0.5 to 7, decided by an algorithm based on bookmaker odds and winning margins.
It rewards teams scoring lots of goals and also those defying expectations but sees odds-on favourites penalised for sneaking past inferior opponents by the odd goal.
Matchday 26
Leicester – 5pts: The most fascinating game of the season and one which Leicester looked like champions again.
Tottenham – 4.5pts: Too quick out of the blocks for Stoke and Kane’s third treble of 2017 put paid to Mark Hughes’ men.
Crystal Palace – 3pts: Out-of-form Palace fully deserved their win, despite Boro’s 54% possession.
West Brom – 3pts: Up to the magic 40-point mark. Will they take their foot off the gas now?
Chelsea – 2.5pts: Finally got on top of Swansea, dominated possession and chances. Champions elect.
Everton – 2.5pts: Too good for Sunderland and David Moyes was happy to take a 1-0 defeat.
Burnley – 1.5pts: Only 33% possession but deserved their point.
Watford – 1pt: Made some silly mistakes, but showed some spirit.
West Ham – 1pt: “Two points dropped,” according to Slaven Bilic and he was spot on.
Hull – 1pt: Just one shot on target for all their good possession. Fighting for their lives.
