Tom Grennan is the latest to take our Predictions challenge and the hotly-tipped singer-songwriter fancies wins for his beloved Man Utd as well as Tottenham and Liverpool – but a bad week to get worse for Chelsea.

Each week our writers will take on a different band or artist by making their Premier League predictions each week, while you can join in the fun using the story comment facility (below) or Your Say forum.

Tom, his love of football and life as one of the country’s hottest upcoming singer-songwriters

TEAMtalk: How did you come to support your club and what are your favourite memories from your time as a fan?
Tom: I started supporting Manchester United because my cousins in Ireland supported them. Since the day I was born I was in a United baby grow. My favourite moments and earliest memories are watching Paul Scholes & Ryan Giggs. I just fell in love with both of them and when Ronaldo came to United, seeing this young player boss the line and using tricks that I hadn’t really seen being used in the Prem before…

TEAMtalk: Who have been your biggest heroes during your time supporting the club?
Tom: Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Rooney, Beckham
TEAMtalk: What do you make of the current team? What are your hopes for the rest of the season?
Tom: Currently it’s OK, not brilliant but OK. I think defensively we’re pretty all over the place. I think we need a Nemanja Vidic character to boss the back four. For the rest of the season I’d like to stay second in the table and win the FA Cup.
TEAMtalk: Everyone has a soft spot for another team. Who’s yours and why?
Tom: My soft spot would probably be Crystal Palace. For years when I was younger I used to go with my friend to Selhurst Park and the atmosphere inside that stadium is always so good.
TEAMtalk: What’s going on with the band/for you as an artist at the moment?
Tom: Right now I’m about to go on a UK tour which I’m buzzing for. My album is out in a few months and I’ve just announced a Brixton Academy show on the 16th October so things are really good at the moment, I can’t complain and I’m so excited!
