Prem club willing to pay Liverpool target Jese’s salary
An unnamed English club could beat Las Palmas to the signature of unsettled Paris Saint-Germain forward Jese Rodriguez.
The La Liga club’s president claims that a Premier League club has signalled their intentions to meet the salary recquirements of Jese.
The 23-year-old Spaniard is believed to be chasing a move to his hometown club Las Palmas, although Arsenal and Liverpool were linked with his services ahead of his move to PSG in the summer.
Middlesbrough have also mentioned as suitors for Jese, who has failed to establish himself at PSG since his £21.2million move from Real Madrid last summer, and he is expected to leave the Ligue 1 champions on loan this month.
Reports in Spain have also claimed that Las Palmas are unable to meet Jese’s salary demands and their president Miguel Angel Ramirez claimed one of the Premier League-based suitors is willing to meet his salary demands.
When asked about Jese, Ramirez told Marca: “Today [Monday] I have been speaking with his representative and there is an English club that wants to pay all of it.”
Jese has made only one Ligue 1 start all season, but he has made 14 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice after scoring 18 goals in 96 appearances for Real.
