Price placed on Champions League glory for Liverpool
Liverpool will earn €83million if they win the Champions league this season.
According to football finance experts the Swiss Ramble, Jurgen Klopp’s men can enjoy another €17million on top of their current European earnings if they topple Roma and go on to win in Kiev.
Liverpool face Italian outfit Roma in the two-legged semi-final, but they have already banked €66million in revenue from UEFA.
And if they win the tournament outright they will receive €83million, and if they are losing finalists they will be handed a figure somewhere in between.
The below tweets explain just how UEFA divide up the revenue to the participating clubs, with teams that finish higher in the Premier League the year before earning slightly more from the first half of the TV pool.
Now that we know the Champions League semi-finalists, we can see how much each club has earned from the 2017/18 competition to date and how much they would receive if they win the competition. Some analysis in the following thread.

English clubs Champions League 2017/18 revenue: #LFC €66m, #CFC €64m, #MCFC €62m, #THFC €60m & #MUFC €39m. Celtic get €32m, as Scottish clubs get 10% of UK TV pool if qualify for Group Stage. As #MUFC qualified via Europa League, get nothing from first half of TV pool. pic.twitter.com/WTf4GLwEQJ

If #LFC win the Champions League, they would receive €83m. Sum restricted by 1st half of TV pool (10% for finishing 4th in previous season’s PL). Some small reductions in other English clubs, as #LFC share of 2nd half of TV pool (based on number of games played) would increase. pic.twitter.com/EZuS0pVA93
