French giants PSG are reportedly closing in on the signing of Manchester United and Manchester City target Fabinho.
The Monaco star has been strongly linked with a switch to the Premier League this summer and had recently stated that he would consider a move to Old Trafford.
However, United have since turned their attentions to Chelsea star Nemanja Matic and that has allowed PSG to jump to the front of the queue for the 23-year-old.
The Qatar-owned club are determined to re-establish themselves as the dominant force in French football, having missed out on the Ligue 1 title to Monaco last season, and what better way to weaken their rivals by signing their top players.
Record Sport claims that PSG’s move for Fabinho is at the advanced stage, although United’s rivals City are still rumoured to be in the running for the player along with Italian champions Juventus.
