Claudio Ranieri admitted there will be no celebratory pizza for his side tonight, despite a later Danny Drinkwater strike earning them a point at Stamford Bridge.
The draw meant that the Foxes won the league by an eventual 10-point margin, with only three losses through the course of what has been an amazing season.
“The emotion is fantastic, it was a good atmosphere and I want to say thank you our fans and the Chelsea fans. It was amazing.
“It was important to finish well and it was a good match. Both teams had great chances and well done to the players. They made a lot of sacrifices in the hot weather to keep pressing.
“Our strength is to be a unit and fight for each other. We have to realise what has happened and then look back on our season.
The Chelsea fans gave their former boss an ovation, congratulating the Leicester team on an incredible campaign.
“It was a warm welcome for me, it was fantastic at the beginning and the end. I enjoyed the match too, both the teams wanted to win the game.
“A draw is OK because we have only lost three times this season and that is an amazing achievement.
“I have told the players it is better if they stay with us one year more and experience the Champions League.”
“No pizza tonight – our chairman has invited us for dinner!”
