Claudio Ranieri says high flying Leicester City need to continue playing without pressure if they are to win the Premier League this season.
Despite having to stage a great escape to survive relegation last season, Leicester will remarkably sit top of the league on Christmas day, largely thanks to the performances of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez.
And Ranieri insists his players need to stick to what has got them this far if they are to remain successful.
“I’m proud of my players and our fans. The fans are dreaming and I don’t want to wake them up,” he said.
“We must enjoy, play free and without pressure. If the world are speaking about you then you enjoy and continue to play.”
Algeria international Mahrez is arguably the player of the season so far, having scored 13 goals and registered seven assists.
However, Ranieri insists Saturday’s opponents Liverpool have players just as good as the winger.
“We have Mahrez, but Liverpool have two of Mahrez in [Philippe] Coutinho and [Adam] Lallana,” the Italian said.
