Marcus Rashford: Testing Mourinho's patience

Marcus Rashford has been criticised by manager Jose Mourinho for losing focus after a promising start to his Manchester United career, a report claims.

The Sun claims that Mourinho has told Rashford to ‘buck his ideas up’, and fears that the young striker is struggling to cope with all the hype.

Mourinho was apparently furious with Rashford’s performance in United’s 1-0 win over Spurs on Sunday, allegedly taking the 19-year-old to one side after the game to criticise his defensive commitment.

Rashford has not scored since September, and his manager feels that he is struggling to kick on after bursting onto the scene at Old Trafford.

This comes after reports last month that Rashford is apparently struggling with cramps and growing pains amid reports of fatigue.

A report in The Sun claimed that Rashford has to be substituted around 80 minutes or risk cramping up due to growing pains.

Jose Mourinho is aware of the issue, and does not want to put too many demands on the striker at such an early stage of his career.

Now though, the situation may have potentially reached breaking point, with Mourinho losing his patience.
