Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez is reportedly favouring a move to Manchester United over Chelsea, Liverpool and Bayern Munich this summer.
German champions Bayern are said to be the main contenders, along with United, for the 25-year-old’s signature, although Antonio Conte and Jurgen Klopp are also monitoring the player’s situation.
Jose Mourinho, however, is said to have promised the Colombian regular first-team football at Old Trafford and that is said to have been the deciding factor in James’ preference for his next destination, according to Don Balon.
Speculation over the player’s future intensified after he refused to shake the hand of Real boss Zinedine Zidane and then punched the bench in frustration after being substituted during the 4-2 win over Leganes on Wednesday night.
Real want at least £50million for a player that cost them £63m in 2014 but James’ agent, Jorge Mendes, believes that price will have to come down if his client is to move on this summer.
