Red Star’s Grujic ‘agrees’ Liverpool transfer

Marko Grujic: Has joined Liverpool from Red Star Belgrade

Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic has agreed a five-year contract with Liverpool ahead of a £5million move, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The 19-year-old has been heavily linked with the Reds and earlier this month Grujic admitted he had held talks with Liverpool over a move to Anfield.

Liverpool have been scouting the Serbia Under-21 star for months with Klopp’s assistant manager Zeljko Buvac believed to have recommended Grujic to the German boss.

The Echo have now reported that Grujic is expected to fly to Merseyside this week to undergo a medical after chief executive Ian Ayre flew out to Belgrade last week to wrap up the deal.
