Report: City and United failed with Sandro bids

Juventus reportedly rejected approaches in January from Manchester City and Manchester United for left-back Alex Sandro.

The Brazilian joined Juve for 26million euros last summer but already the 25-year-old is attracting Premier League interest.

Calciomercato claim both United and City made offers to the Turin club during January, but the Serie A champions flatly rejected both clubs. The Italian outlet quotes a figure of 40m-45m euros.

City’s interest goes back to last year, when Gazzetta dello Sport reported shortly after Manuel Pellegrini’s side had met Juve in the Champions League that the Blues had enquired about the former Porto full-back.
