Jack Wilshere is in line to be offered a new contract at Arsenal despite being loaned out to Bournemouth, claims a report on Wednesday.
The Sun say that Wilshere has held talks with Arsene Wenger about extending his contract at the Emirates following the end of his current loan spell after the midfielder asked the Gunners boss if he remained in the long-term plans of the club.
The paper quote a source, who said: “Jack left because he wanted to get more first-team football to get his England spot back.
“He loves Arsenal and wants to remain and the club and the chats he has had with the club have been very positive on both sides.
“Jack is desperate to stay and prove himself to everyone what a top-class player he is. The experience about Bournemouth should serve him well.”
