Liverpool will reportedly opt for a move for Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon over Hull defender Andrew Robertson this summer.
The 16-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield over the last six months, while Tottenham are also said to be in the race for the left-back.
James Milner has done a standout job playing out of position this season but Jurgen Klopp wants a natural full-back going forward, particularly with Alberto Moreno set to move on at the end of the season.
Moreno has been on the fringes of Klopp’s squad all season and will be allowed to leave the club this summer, according to a report in the Daily Mirror.
Hull star Robertson has also been heavily linked with an £8million switch to Anfield but Sessegnon is said to be Liverpool’s preferred choice.
Sessegnon, who is currently playing a big part in Fulham’s push for the Championship play-offs, will turn 17 on May 18 and that is when he can sign his first professional contract.
The talented defender agreed to sign the deal with the Cottagers before the start of the season and if he does then the Reds are likely to have to pay a hefty transfer fee.
