Liverpool will reportedly have to cough up £70million if they want to sign RB Leipzig star Naby Keita this summer.
The Bundesliga outfit are determined not to sell their star player, while Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has made the addition of the 22-year-old one of his main priorities ahead of the new season.
And reports in Germany have claimed the midfielder has now told Leipzig he wants to leave the club and make the move to Anfield.
However, according to German newspaper BILD, the Guinea international will not be allowed to leave for less than £70million.
Indeed, Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff recently spoke of the club’s desire to keep Keita for at least one more season.
He said: “It would be negligent to sell one of our key players now.
“Emil and Naby are extremely talented and developable players, we are glad that we are able to keep up with their development as a club.”
Keita scored eight goals and provided eight assists in 31 games last season and is regarded as one of the best box-to-box midfielders in European football.
The player was pictured with Liverpool forward Sadio Mane last week to heighten claims the player could move to Liverpool this summer.
