Lionel Messi: Stunned Real Madrid with a late winner

Lionel Messi has reportedly demanded that Barcelona make four new signings this summer and axe six stars in the process.

The Argentine was at his brilliant best in El Clasico on Sunday, scoring his 500th goal for Barca as they ran out 3-2 winners at Real Madrid.

Messi is out of contract in the summer of 2018 but is currently in talks over a bumper new deal at the Nou Camp and hopes to be playing with some new arrivals next season.

According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Messi wants the club to sign a new right-back, central defender, midfielder and striker.

Sergi Roberto has struggled to convince at the back, while Messi also believes that Barca have not properly replaced legendary midfielder Xavi.

The Spanish giants are expected to offload summer signings Paco Alcacer and Andre Gomes, while Jeremy Mathieu, Aleix Vidal, Javier Mascherano and Ivan Rakitic are also being tipped to leave in a big shake-up.

Manager Luis Enrique has already announced he will leave at the end of the current campaign, with his replacement unclear at this stage.
