Mesut Ozil’s suitors are few and far between amid reports Arsenal will listen to offers for the Germany midfielder.
Ozil is in the middle of a contract impasse at The Emirates with Arsenal’s reported £250,000 a week offer not considered acceptable by Ozil.
The 28-year-old is understood to be looking for a £300,ooo a week deal, but Arsenal are not keen on upping their offer and are considering selling him.
Ozil’s current deal expires at the end of next season and The Telegraph suggest Arsenal “would listen to offers for Ozil” whilst fighting to keep Alexis Sanchez.
The playmaker has seen his form dip with contract negotiations stalling and only Turkish side Fenerbahce are believed to have shown an interest in signing Ozil.
Meanwhile, Ozil is believed to have been furious after being chosen for a random drug test after the 2-0 defeat at Tottenham.
It’s believed Ozil has been selected on several occasions previously and he kicked a door at White Hart Lane over the weekend before reluctantly complying with testing procedures.
Ozil, who is a huge admirer of Arsene Wenger, has always stated he wanted to know whether Wenger was staying before deciding his future.
Talks are expected to resume once the season has finished but the club are unlikely to shift too much, while Ozil is also believed to want assurances about investment in the playing squad.
