Manchester United are said to have had a bid accepted by Inter Milan for Ivan Perisic, according to a report in Italy.
Calciomercato claims United offered €52million (£45.34m) – a huge increase on the €30million (£26.16m) bid that Inter had supposedly rejected for the Croatia winger.
The same report claims Perisic will almost double his salary from €3m-a-season to over €5m, with the deal set to be completed next week.
Inter are reluctant to let Perisic leave but club chiefs hope a windfall from United will offset FFP concerns.
United have also been linked with Alexandre Lacazette as they search for a centre-forward after sources claimed Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s injury had led to a re-think over a move for Antoine Griezmann.
