Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega insists he’s keen to sign a new deal with the club after Everton were linked with a January move for the Argentina player.
The 27-year-old midfielder is out-of-contract at Los Rojiblancos at the end of the season, and has been linked with a move to Goodison Park in the national press..
But the 37-times capped Argentina international insists he has no interest in leaving the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and hopes to sign a new contract in the coming weeks.
Speaking to Radio Marca, Banega said: “I am really comfortable at Sevilla. Here I have found peace and security and I am really happy.
“Whether they want me to stay or not, I always want to do well on the pitch. My representatives are talking with the club about a renewal, but nothing has been decided yet.”
