Memphis Depay: Manchester United man criticised by Ruud Gullit

Memphis Depay looks set to be dropped by Louis van Gaal for Manchester United’s trip to Everton on Saturday.

The Holland winger has struggled for form since joining United from PSV Eindhoven in the summer, and reports suggest the manager’s patience with the £25million signing has snapped.

A number of Friday’s papers report that Depay will be dropped to the bench at Everton, with United concerned about his off-pitch activities as much as his lack of form on it.

Ryan Giggs has reportedly already spoken to Depay about the need for the 21-year-old to keep a lower profile having been regularly spotted out on the town in Manchester.

The Sun also quote a club source, who said: He has been acting really big time around the camp which is starting to annoy a number of people.”

Depay reported back for United training at Carrington on Thursday after a miserable international break. His Holland side failed to qualify for Euro 2016 a 3-2 defeat to the Czech Republic, before which he was involved in a training-ground fall-out with Robin van Persie.

Depay has scored one Premier League goal since arriving at Old Trafford, with former Holland striker Youri Mulder suggesting this week that United are already “fed up” with the No.7’s attitude.
