Serie A giants Roma are reportedly trying to negotiate a deal to sign Anthony Martial from Manchester United this summer.
The Italian outfit have already enquired about taking the France international on a season-long loan.
United, however, are highly unlikely to be interested in a temporary deal and Roma could go back with a permanent offer in excess of £30million, according to a report in the Daily Mirror.
Roma have already sold Mohamed Salah to Liverpool and Antonio Rudiger to Chelsea to balance the books and are now on the look out for fresh talent to bolster their starting XI.
Martial could well be surplus to requirements once United complete the £75million signing of Romelu Lukaku from Everton, with the 21-year-old being tipped to move on after failing to hold down a regular starting spot under Jose Mourinho.
Martial joined United from Monaco for an initial £36 million in 2015 and has scored 15 goals in 56 Premier League appearances since moving to Old Trafford.
