Liverpool winger Ryan Kent has returned to Anfield early after his loan spell at Freiburg was cancelled.
While there may not be any new signings this month, Liverpool have welcomed back winger Kent.
The 21-year-old made just one start in six Bundesliga appearances but, after his spell in Germany was terminated, he has now received clearance to play in the club’s forthcoming matches.
The young winger was due to spend the season on loan in Germany having signed for the Bundesliga club in August.
But with first-team opportunities proving hard to come by, both clubs have taken the decision to terminate the deal.
Kent, who played 47 times on loan with Barnsley last season, returned to Merseyside for Christmas.
The Liverpool Echo claim the club will look to find the player a loan with a Championship club.
