Newcastle, Everton, Saints chase Algeria winger – report

Ryad Boudebouz: Now making waves in Ligue 1

At least five clubs including Southampton, Everton and Newcastle are tracking Montpellier wideman Ryad Boudebouz, according to a report.

Ligue 1 outfit Lyon and Serie A side Lazio are also interested in the left-footed midfielder, who almost moved to Liverpool in 2012.

The Daily Mirror reports the 27-year-old is set to leave Montpellier in the summer, two years after moving from Bastia for £1,45million.

Boudebouz has scored 11 goals and collected 10 assists 33 appearances this season and the report suggests he is valued at £13million by his French club.

That is almost double his reported value in January when Sunderland, West Brom, Southampton and West Ham were all believed to be tracking the player who was valued at £8.5m in The Sun.

The Algeria international has enjoyed his best season to date and is hoping to move while his stock is high.

The report claims Boudebouz could have moved to the Anfield when he played for Sochaux in 2012, but talks with Liverpool broke down.
