Bayern’s Alexis snub leaves Arsenal star with just two options

Alexis Sanchez: Four way battle for Chilean

Alexis Sanchez is unlikely to join Bayern Munich this summer for monetary reasons, according to reports in the German press.

Despite being strongly linked with a move for the Chile star, Kicker via Transfermarkt claims that the move is looking increasingly unlikely.

The Bundesliga champions are reluctant to cough up the £50m that the Gunners are demanding for the 28-year-old, particularly given that the player will be out of contract next summer.

Bayern are also not prepared to pay Sanchez’s wage demands of £280k-per-week as they feel it would break their wage structure and cause potential squad disharmony.

That pretty much leaves two options for the forward, stay at Arsenal and leave on a free next summer or head to Manchester City.

The Gunners, however, are desperate not to sell to a Premier League rival but may now have very little option if they want to receive a fee for their talisman, especially now that Bayern are seemingly no longer in the mix.
