JOSE RIGHT TO CRITICISE MAN UTD LEGEND

Being a club legend doesn’t entitle you to say what you want and put a negative spin on everything to do with his former club – and Scholes is well known for being negative.

Scholes needs to wind his neck in big style. The majority of his punditry is directed towards Manchester United. Perhaps he believes that his position as a former player gave him the right to a job at the club after he retired from playing.

A further issue is that Scholes had many poor periods as a player for United and England.

Jose squashed scholes criticism whilst praising him at the same time. Well done Jose

CIGARS OUT FOR UNITED’S BACK FOUR

Pleasing 2nd half performance and two great goals to embellish a comfortable away win,but as always you have to analyse the strengths or otherwise of the opposition.

Suffice to say,Everton are completely clueless going forward to the point that every one of our back four were smoking cigars and had decent or better performances, which tells it’s own tale.

If only we could find enough good players to put in and around Paul Pogba we have a potential world beater on our hands and that has to be Jose’s task now, just give the guy the freedom to do his thing.

Blacky

@blacky today is not one for looking at the opposition mate. For me, after recent performances and worsening league position, today was just about what we did regardless. I think that was a very good second half display and a platform to hopefully build on. No doubt we are now in a difficult battle to finish top 4!

Well that was a pleasant surprise and critical result. I must admit I was wrong, I expected it to be like watching paint dry … deathly slow and uneventful.

I dont rate Lingard but must say, he does get the goals and not just the easy ones. But if goal tally alone was the yardstick we’d be bringing Rooney back. Is he a piece in the finished jigsaw picture, we’ll see.

POGBA IN A MIDFIELD THREE – WOW!

Holy moly, how much better is Pogba in a midfield 3! We need to stick with that formation. Get Pereira back and play him in Herrera’s position.

Stunt-Man Matt

Good performance today. The 3 in midfield gives us more control even in later stages of the game. Hopefully jose will stick with 3 man midfield from now on.

fatrooney

A midfield 3 with Paul Pogba on the left brings the best out of him. United looked more fluid yesterday. Front players interchanging and no big lump (Lukaku) getting the way.

LIVERPOOL’S BEST RESULT OF THE SEASON?

Best result of the season for me. Was certain we would lose this one but it’s a huge three points from a much changed team.

Fantastic way to win and something we don’t do often enough. Shows the desire and belief in the side and hopefully the defence will up a few notches when Virgil gets going.

shanksy shanksy

Agree Shanksy mate. That was a very tough game in terrible conditions. Another good game from Ox. We got stuck in and I thought Can did well

Such a tough place to go. Long balls after long balls. Huge result. Two massive results recently.

I think we played 4 games in ten days so that’s a brilliantly ant return from the team.

Sean the sailor

3 games in the last week and won all 3.

And that’s after a 5/6 week slog of playing at least 2 games a week.

I guess rotation is paying off as is our stronger squad depth.

I like to see players disappointed at being taken off shows they want to play & help the team win (Also don’t think that was the correct sub from Klopp) some people are reading way to much in to the Mane thing

COUTINHO’S LIVERPOOL REPLACEMENT?

When coutinho leaves, I would be more than happy with the leicester man as the replacement over someone like Lemar who, like it appears, we put in a VVD-like bid last summer.

Technically, I think Mahrez is as good as coutinho. Under Klopp, who knows what he can become..

His goals and assist as similarly on par with the brazilian. I have not checked the numbers but i suspect the algerian, playing in a lesser team, is ahead.

Mahrez, again like couts, can play on the wings and cenrally. I think his pace is also better…which would make us an even faster team.

He has proven EPL pedigree and would only need to adapt to Klopp’s style, not a different league.

Finally, he wouldn’t cost 90m, would he?

I say forget lemar and get mah.

reds2riches

Reds interesting one this. I think Mahrez is a very good player (he has been known to drift out of games but I think that was more as he wanted a move).

The rumours were that they wanted £40 to £50 mill for Mahrez during the transfer window. I reckon for us it would be closer to £50 mill as they know we will have money to spend.

In terms of players you get one with epl experience and better stats vs. a player who is younger, a bit quicker and with more potential in my opinion (Lemar).

I suppose it would depend upon the price, if both were similar I personally would go for Lemar. If there is a significant difference in their fees then it could be Mahrez who is better value.

MAHREZ A GOOD OPTION FOR CHELSEA?

Twitter is awash with tales of the imminent arrival at Chelsea of Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City for a fee in the region of £42m plus add-ons of £5m and a weekly wage of £180,000 a week.

His medical, if Twitter is to believed, is due in the coming week.???

Wow I did not see that rumour about Mahrez. But if it’s true: He will surely add a new dimension to our attack. Even on wikipedia, somebody already changed his current club to Chelsea. (still not confirmed though, I expect a correction soon that he’s still a Leicester player). 42m seems to me to be steep though. And we continue to raid Leicester after Kante and Drinkwater.

But if it means that we’ll have no Alexis Sanchez as we buy Mahrez: Sanchez is one notch above Mahrez IMO.

999 yes I saw the article too that Madrid wanted to develop Asensio. Hopefully this is true and Hazard will end up signing an extension with us. Finger crossed.

Mahrez I think would be a good option so long as he hits the form of the season when Leicester win the league

Really not convinced about Sandro and do not see any issues with Alonso at all. for me, I think her needs decent cover but would be reluctant to spend 60-70m on Sandro just to drop Alonso

Rumours are rife about a bid from Real for Hazard but still not convinced that will happen and if it does whether Hazard would actually want to leave

As always, time will tell but as I have said before, if we do spend in January then I see that as a positive from the board in supporting Conte which in turn may mean he would stay. KTBFFH

CFC 1905

MArhez at 40 million is a risk worth taking. We spent 35 on michy. Marhez is putting himself well into the market but everyone seems reluctant to buy him. He would be prefect for 343 formation with hazard.

Dream-“: marhez and sandro
Likely: barkley
