Scunthorpe v Gillingham preview

admin

Scunthorpe midfielder Isaiah Osbourne is battling to shake off a knock in time for the home game against Gillingham.

Osbourne was forced out of the midweek draw against Bradford and was replaced by Everton loanee John Lundstram, who could return to the starting line-up.

Manager Mark Robins has no other new injury or suspension worries as his side chase the point that would guarantee their safety.

Defender Alex Davey (calf) remains doubtful, while midfielder David Syers is hoping to play a bigger part as he continues to work his way back from a serious knee injury.

Gillingham have no fresh injury worries as they look to end their away campaign on a high.

The Gills are looking to make it five unbeaten after seeing off Rochdale last weekend and Brennan Dickenson could keep his place in the side having made his first league start since January 3 against Dale.

That means Amari’i Bell may have to settle for a place on the bench once more while the likes of Josh Pritchard and Luke Norris will hope to earn recalls if Justin Edinburgh decides to shuffle his pack.

Scunthorpe ran out 3-0 winners when the sides met earlier in the season.
