Sheffield Wednesday sign Dutch defender Joost van Aken

Sheffield Wednesday have announced the signing of defender Joost van Aken from Dutch side Heerenveen for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old made 26 appearances for the Eredivisie side last season and has been capped by Holland at Under-21 level.

Van Aken is available for the Owls’ televised clash with Nottingham Forest on September 9.
