Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho is wanted by Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, according to reports in his native Nigeria on Tuesday.
The report claims City are open to allowing the 20-year-old striker leave the club this summer after he fell behind both Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus in the pecking order.
However, it’s claimed that any potential deal will grant City a buy-back clause for the striker, who has scored 21 goals in 58 appearances for the club.
And it has emerged that Champions League chasing Hoffenheim will look into signing the Super Eagles youngster should they claim a shock spot at the top table of European football next season.
“It is true Hoffenheim are interested in Kelechi Iheanacho. He is one of the three strikers on their list but they have not started negotiating with him yet,” a source is quoted by Allnigeriasoccer.
Hoffenhim are currently third in the Bundesliga standings, a point ahead of fourth-placed Dortmund, but with a 11 point cushion over fifth-placed Hertha Berlin. There are more betting tips OddsDigger for the Bundesliga, and all European leagues.
