Sissoko revelation hands Premier League suitors a huge boost
Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko has revealed he wishes to remain in England after ruling out staying with Newcastle in the Championship.
Sissoko has continually expressed his desire to leave the Magpies after they suffered relegation from the Premier League last season.
The midfielder enjoyed an excellent Euro 2016 for France however, forcing Newcastle to place a £35m valuation on his head.
Rafael Benitez wishes to keep the player at St James’ Park, but Sissoko’s agent has hit out at the club recently.
Speaking to France Football magazine, the 26-year-old, who has been linked with Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, says he wishes to remain in the country if he does secure the move he desires.
The player has also been mentioned as a possible target for Borussia Dortmund, PSG and Juventus, but Sissoko insisted: “My priority is to stay in England even if I’m not against going to search for a new challenge elsewhere.
“I particularly want to play with big players and in top-level matches.
“I would give myself 10 out of 10 [at Euro 2016]. I don’t feel that I’m superior to others but, from the moment where I’ve given everything, I’m not going to attribute myself another mark.
“I have nothing to reproach myself for in this competition.”
