Sky Live: Celtic v Dundee

Midfielder Charlie Mulgrew is making a good recovery from a hamstring tendon injury but is still not quite ready to return, having not played for the first team since December.

Also absent for the Hoops is right-back Mikael Lustig who has been sidelined for over two months with a bad ankle.

Celtic will be crowned champions this weekend if they beat Dundee and nearest challengers Aberdeen fail to beat Dundee United on Saturday.

And manager Ronny Deila is hoping the fans create a special atmosphere: “It is a very important game on Friday and I hope that we make it a big occasion and a memorable night.

“We will do everything to prepare ourselves to have a really good performance as it is a very important game to finish this off.”

Visiting Dundee are without suspended striker Greg Stewart who was red-carded against St Johnstone last weekend.

Midfielder Paul McGowan is unavailable because of his court-imposed curfew, while Gary Harkins, Gary Irvine and Simon Ferry are all back from injury.

Dark Blues manager Paul Hartley is trying to remain upbeat going into the match against the champions-elect, saying: “It’s never easy going to play against Celtic away from home but it’s one we will approach positively.

“You look for any positive going into a game like this and we can look back on some decent performances.”

One of Dundee’s worst performances of the season came in last weekend’s 2-0 home defeat to St Johnstone and Hartley added: “Important to bounce back. We’ve trained well all week and they’re a great bunch of lads.

“They will be raring to go come Friday night. There’s still plenty to play for between now and the end of the season. We want to get as many points as we can in our final few games and see where it takes us.

“You never know what can happen but first and foremost we’ll focus on Celtic.”
