Manchester United and England defender Chris Smalling has been rushed to hospital in Bali after being stung by a jellyfish, according to media reports in Indonesia.
Pictures of a man believed to be Smalling have surfaced on social media after he was alleged to have been taken ill while learning to surf.
Manchester United chiefs have told the Manchester Evening News that they are investigating the reports after pictures of a man, who appears to be Smalling surfaced on social media.

The reports claims Smalling was stung by the jellyfish while learning to surf during a holiday on Bali with his girlfriend Sam Cooke.
Although yet to be officially confirmed that the injured man in the picture is Smalling, the photo shows the person signing a Man Utd shirt – and the signature on the shirt appears to match the one Smalling has used before, while the claimed medical notes show the correct date of birth.
The man in the photo is wearing a neck brace while bandages can also be seen around his head and his left wrist and he is also on a drip.
The fact that Smalling, however, appears well enough to sign a shirt should give United encouragement that his injuries are at least not life threatening.
