Southend keen to keep trio

admin

The trio all started in the League Two play-off final victory against Wycombe and the club have announced they are in discussions with them over remaining at Roots Hall.

The Shrimpers have already lost one of the XI who started that afternoon after Barry Corr left for Cambridge, but they are also in communication with Adam Thompson and Gary Deegan over possible extensions.

Luke Prosser, John White and David Worrall have all had clauses exercised in their deals to stay with the club but seven players have been offloaded from Phil Brown’s squad.

Josh Banton, Lee Barnard, Ellis Brown, Conor Clifford, Kane Farrell, Mads Ibenfeldt and Paul Smith are all free to find new clubs.
