Spanish side Villarreal are lining up a shock move for Celtic star Moussa Dembele, according to the latest reports.
The Express claims that the ‘Yellow Submarine’ are looking to spend some of the £35m windfall they received by selling Cedric Bakambu to Chinese side Beijing Guoan in January.
Villarreal look set to clinch a Europa League spot for next season, but manager Javier Calleja is wary that he needs to re-enforce his attacking options ahead of the new campaign and has lined up the 21-year-old for a £15m bid.
Premier League new boys Brighton were linked with a swoop for Dembele, though manager Chris Hughton denies that a bid was made.
Chelsea and Arsenal have also been tipped to move for the former Fulham man, who swapped Craven Cottage for Celtic Park in a £500k switch two seasons ago.
The France U21 international has been hugely impressive since the move, scoring seven Old Firm goals as well as netting against PSG and Manchester City in the Champions League.
