Tottenham have drawn up a list of potential replacements amid mounting suggestions that Danny Rose will join Manchester United this summer.
Reports in the Daily Mirror suggest Mauricio Pochettino is busy drawing up a list of potential replacements with Doncaster-born Rose keen to quit the club this summer and move back up north.
And it’s claimed Rose’s desire to leave the club has alerted Jose Mourinho, who has made a swoop for a new left-back one of his prime objectives this summer.
Rose has also been linked with Manchester City but it’s believed Pep Guardiola is now closing in on a deal for Monaco’s Benjamin Mendy.
City also have Kyle Walker in their sights and it promises to be a difficult summer for Tottenham – and that’s despite their insistence than players will only leave “on their own terms”.
As such, it’s claimed Pochettino has already drawn up a list of potential replacements should Rose leave – and ironically, Manchester United’s Luke Shaw could be top of the list.
Shaw has endured a frustrating season at Old Trafford, with a combination of injury and criticism from Mourinho limiting his action to just 19 appearances in all competitions.
It’s believed Spurs could try and tempt him down south as either part of any deal for Rose, or in a ‘cut-price’ £20million deal.
Tottenham are also emerging as favourites to land Fulham’s 17-year-old left-back Ryan Sessegnon, who has also been heavily linked with Liverpool.
