Tottenham striker target Jonathan Calleri has played down rumours he will move to Europe this summer – and insists his future very much depends on current club Sao Paulo.
The Argentinian striker is among a number of striker targets Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly tracking, but it seems the player – who is also wanted by Inter Milan and Fiorentina – is happy to stay in Brazil for now.
Speaking to Poconet, Calleri said: “I never said that I will move to Europe for sure. Everybody says that there is something with Inter. Now, I am happy here, I have the possibility to stay and I will talk with the club”.
“Of course, I would like to play in Europe, but I want to stay”, the Argentine added. “I always said that here I am very well and that I am grateful to this club. I will talk to the executives and see what the best thing will be.”
