The midfielder has fully recovered from minor knee surgery and is added to the squad that beat Celtic in the Scottish Communities League Cup semi-final.

Inverness have been bolstered by the arrival of two new loan signings for the Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash at St Mirren Park.

Leeds defender Charlie Taylor and QPR winger Jordan Gibbons are pushing for involvement in Paisley.

Defenders Chris Hogg (knee) and Simon King (ankle) are working their way back from injury.

St Mirren manager Danny Lennon will be without four key players.

Jim Goodwin, Steven Thompson and Marc McAusland are all suspended for the visit of the Highland side.

Graham Carey also misses the first SPL game of the season with a calf knock.

All seven of Terry Butcher’s summer signings are available for selection ahead of Inverness’ opening SPL fixture.

The only players unavailable to Butcher are long-term injury absentee Chris Hogg (knee) and experienced midfielder Richie Foran, who is suspended.

Despite losing a raft of players at the end of last season Butcher has brought in the likes of defender Simon King and former Liverpool youngster David Raven.

Manager Danny Lennon has no fresh injuries with long-term knee injury victim Darren McGregor the only other player out.

Hugh Murray is closing in on his comeback from knee surgery.

Inverness midfielder Aidan Chippendale will miss the trip to Paisley with a hamstring injury.

Defenders Josh Meekings (calf) and David Proctor (ankle) are both doubtful.

Caley manager Terry Butcher has hinted that he will reshuffle his side as he looks to get off the bottom of the table.

St Mirren midfielder Jim Goodwin is suspended for the game against Caley Thistle.

Paul McGowan (groin) and Paul McQuade (hamstring) are doubts but Paddy Cregg is hopeful of returning from a hamstring injury.

Gareth Wardlaw (ankle) and David Barron (calf) are still out, and Nick Hegarty is looking for match-fitness after recovering from a broken ankle.

Inverness pair Grant Munro and Ross Tokely are suspended.

Jonny Hayes is doubtful as he battles an ongoing ankle problem.

Dani Sanchez has joined Roy McBain, Gavin Morrison and Kenny Gillet on the sidelines after suffering a broken hand in the Scottish Cup win over Morton but Nick Ross has returned to training following a foot problem.

St Mirren manager Danny Lennon hopes Paul McQuade will be able to make his first appearance of the season.

The striker has missed all the previous SPL matches with a calf tear but is back in training and could play a part, while Paul McGowan returns from suspension.

However, Steven Thomson has been told he faces up to six weeks on the sidelines with a torn calf.

Inverness midfielder Lee Cox will miss out after suffering a leg injury during the cup defeat at Celtic in midweek.

The former Leicester player has his leg in plaster after his fibula was damaged by a heavy tackle from Ki Sung-yeung in the 6-0 loss, and he is facing six weeks on the sidelines.

Kenny Gillet, Dani Sanchez (both knee), Kevin McCann (groin) and Chris Innes (hamstring) remain on the sidelines but Gil Blumenshtein is back in the squad.
