Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany: To leave Man City?

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany and star striker Sergio Aguero are set to be next to leave in Pep Guardiola’s ‘ruthless revolution’.

According to the Daily Mirror both high-profile players do not fit into the Spaniard’s long term vision and there is said to be growing ‘tension’ with Aguero in particular after he was left out of the starting line-up in the 4-0 demolition against Barcelona.

Guardiola has stated that he wants even more from the Argentine despite scoring 11 goals in 10 games so far this season.

The Mirror believe that Guardiola is ready to unleash new £27million striker Gabriel Jesus once he arrives from Palmeiras in January and expectations are rising that Aguero will move on in the summer.

Kompany, meanwhile, was left out of the matchday squad against Barcelona even though he was reported to have been fully-fit for selection. The Belgian has suffered a series of injury setbacks in recent years and, as a result, his days with the club are also said to be numbered.
