Britannia Stadium: Kits can be donated before Stoke City v Man City game

Stoke City are to support a football kit amnesty on behalf of leading football recycling charity Kits4Causes at their game against Manchester City at the Britannia Stadium on December 5.

Stoke City’s Community Trust is encouraging supporters to donate any old or unused football equipment to help disadvantaged people both locally and internationally.

A number of collection points will be set around the Britannia Stadium ahead of the game.Stoke kits

Kits4Causes accept anything that can be worn or used for football including shirts, shorts, socks, training jackets, footballs, boots, cones and bibs.

It is not just Stoke City kits that can be donated. Any item of football clothing can be used from a professional level to Sunday League kits.

All kit and equipment kindly donated will then be distributed between a number of local, national and international charities to help those less fortunate.

Since being founded in 2009, Kits4Causes have sent over 37,000 football shirts to 40 different countries and supports a range of social development schemes here in the UK and abroad including education projects and HIV/AIDS awareness amongst many others.
