Stoke loanees out of Boro clash

The Stoke pair have reached the end of their respective three-month loan spells with the Tykes but the Potters have agreed to allow them remain at Oakwell until the end of the season.

Their new loan deals do not start until January 1, however, so Mark Robins is expected to recall fit-again skipper Stephen Foster and Rob Kozluk to his starting line-up against Boro to fill the gaps.

Robins, who has no other injury or suspension problems, must decide who to start with in attack.

Andy Gray partnered Daniel Bogdanovic in the draw at Crystal Palace last time out – Boxing Day’s clash at Preston was postponed – but Jon Macken and Iain Hume are both hoping for recalls.

Barnsley, who now have two games in hand on their rivals, are unbeaten in their last seven league matches.
