Everton will reportedly tell John Stones he will not be sold this summer, with the club also keen to tie down Ross Barkley.
Stones is one of the most coveted defenders in the Premier League, with Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all linked with moves for the England centre-half.
Chelsea were rebuffed with several offers last year, with the Toffees rejecting a final bid of £37million. But Stones looked set to push for a move this summer following a disappointing season under Roberto Martinez.
However, with Ronald Koeman set to be appointed at Goodison Park, Everton are understood to again be unwilling to consider any offers for Stones.
The Daily Mirror reports that Koeman has been told that Romelu Lukaku may have to be sold, but the club’s other big names will remain at Goodison Park.
Following the investment of Farhad Moshiri, Everton do not have to sell and instead want to tie down their prized assets.
The Telegraph claims that the club will sit down with Barkley this summer to discuss an improvement to his current £60,000-a-week contract.
