Roma and Belgium international midfielder Radja Nainggolan, who was linked with Chelsea over the summer, has signed a new extension with the Serie A club.
Nainggolan’s previous contract ran until 2018 but, after Roma released their annual financial figures, they revealed that the 28-year-old has extended his stay a further two years until 2020.
“During this financial period, the contract of Nainggolan, which was due to expire on June 30, 2018, has been extended,” read an entry in Roma’s annual financial results statement. “The new agreement has a duration of five years, with an expiry of June 30, 2020.”
Nainggolan reportedly held talks with Chelsea, yet has now become one of the top earners in Serie A.
