Sunderland defender Jason Denayer says that Liverpool could win the title this season.
Denayor, who played in midfield in the win over Hull, looks set to line up against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday coming off in the second half against the Tigers.
The 21-year-old Belgium international, who is on loan from Man City, cramped up last weekend, but he will be fit to face Jurgen Klopp’s men, who he rates very highly.
“They have the capacity to win the title, but I think it is too early to say it will be Liverpool are going to win, or someone else is going to win,” he said.
He also picked out Philippe Coutinho as the man to watch: “Coutinho is very, very good. He is very technical, he is comfortable with the ball, he passes well.”
Sunderland boss David Moyes also recognised the task in hand for in-form Sunderland, who have won their last two games.
“Liverpool is a really good football club with great support, and they’ve had some fantastic players over the years.
“It’s always been tough going to Liverpool and they’ve always had good teams. It’s always difficult to beat them.
“It’s not easy to get back-to-back wins when you’re at the bottom, so the players are in good spirits,” said Moyes.
