The League Two club held their own against Nigel Pearson’s side until a defensive mistake five minutes from time allowed N’Guessan to break clear and slide the ball under Mark Crossley.
City boss Pearson said: “It wasn’t a great game but I am pleased that we still won. After the game at Shrewsbury on Saturday (where Leicester won 4-0) perhaps this has brought us back down to earth a little.
“But Dany took his goal well and the way we kept the ball and saw the game out towards the end pleased me, it was a good piece of possession football.”
Leicester complete their pre-season preparations against Spanish side Real Valladolid at the Walkers Stadium on Sunday.
