One Swiss starlet will reject Juventus in favour of a move to the Premier League, according to a report from Spain.
FC Basel’s Swiss 20-year-old forward Dimitri Oberlin is one of the most coveted young players in Europe at the moment, and has attracted interest from a number of top clubs as a result
Currently on loan with FC Basel from Austrian outfit RB Salzburg, he has scored eight goals in 23 matches across all competitions. However, Basel will not activate the clause in the loan deal to make the transfer permanent.
According to Estadio Deportivo, the Swiss U21 international is wanted by a pair of Premier League clubs; namely Arsenal and Spurs, with the player himself keen on a move to England.
Serie A trio Juventus, Roma and Napoli have all watched the player closely in the past, but seem to have been overtaken by the English duo in the race to sign Oberlin.
